Job Title: Quality Control (QC) Inspector
Location: Gwer Road
Department: Operations
Reports To: Warehouse Manager
Working Hours: Saturday to Thursday, 8 hours a day
Job Summary:
The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for ensuring all incoming and outgoing goods meet the required standards of quality and compliance. This role performs routine inspections, documents results, and works closely with warehouse, procurement, and technical teams to maintain product integrity and prevent faulty inventory from reaching clients.
Key Responsibilities:
· Inspect received goods to ensure they meet predefined specifications and quality standards.
· Perform random sampling, visual inspections, and testing on products and materials.
· Maintain detailed inspection reports and log non-conformance issues for corrective action.
· Verify labels, expiration dates, packaging integrity, and storage conditions.
· Work with warehouse and procurement teams to reject or return substandard goods.
· Ensure calibration and cleanliness of inspection tools and measurement instruments.
· Conduct pre-shipment inspections before goods are dispatched.
· Assist in improving quality control procedures and training warehouse staff on quality standards.
· Escalate recurring or critical quality issues to supervisors or technical leads.
· Participate in supplier evaluations based on product quality and consistency.
Qualifications and Requirements:
· Diploma or certification in Quality Control, Supply Chain, or Engineering.
· At least 2 years of experience in a QC role within warehousing, logistics, or manufacturing.
· Strong understanding of inspection tools, measurement techniques, and documentation.
· Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
· Familiarity with quality standards and protocols (e.g., ISO 9001).
· Basic computer literacy and knowledge of inventory/warehouse systems.
