Position Title: Electrical Engineer

Employment Type: Full-time

Working Days: Saturday - Thursday

Working Hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

Location: Erbil                                                                                                      

Summary:

job requires the ability to work under pressure and flexibility in working hours. The position will involve fieldwork to support the assembly, installation, and configuration of smart meters and related electrical components. This role requires a deep understanding of the technical requirements and the ability to provide solutions to any questions or challenges that may arise during the project. The engineer must demonstrate a high level of problem-solving expertise and be capable of addressing and resolving complex issues efficiently to ensure the smooth progression of the project. The role may extend into the second phase of the project depending on performance during the testing phase. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Develop Electrical Systems: Create detailed electrical designs, schematics, and prototypes for new products or systems, ensuring functionality, safety, and compliance with specifications.
• Conduct Testing and Analysis: Perform testing and analysis of electrical systems and components to ensure performance, reliability, and adherence to quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Identify and address electrical issues in existing systems or products, providing timely solutions and implementing corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with mechanical engineers, software developers, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical systems into larger projects and ensure seamless functionality.
• Prepare Technical Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including design specifications, testing reports, and user manuals, for both internal use and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee Installation and Maintenance: Supervise the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems, ensuring they meet operational standards and are maintained properly.
• Ensure Compliance with Standards: Ensure that all electrical designs and systems comply with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations, including IEEE, NEC, and other relevant standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering: A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required, with coursework or specialization in areas such as circuit design, control systems, or power systems.
• Professional Engineering License (PE): Certification as a Professional Engineer may be required or preferred, depending on the role and responsibilities.
• Relevant Work Experience: Proven experience in electrical engineering roles, with a track record of designing, testing, and troubleshooting electrical systems or components.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in using electrical engineering software and tools, such as AutoCAD Electrical, MATLAB, or Simulink, and familiarity with electronic testing equipment.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical skills to assess complex systems, identify problems, and develop effective solutions.
• Knowledge of Industry Standards: Understanding of industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to electrical engineering and safety.
• Effective Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly document and present technical information, collaborate with team members, and interact with clients or stakeholders.
